The Technology Spring Insight Programme is designed for students who have just embarked on their university course and wish to explore the different areas of Technology at Morgan Stanley prior to qualifying for a Summer Analyst or Industrial Placement position the following year. The programme is a great opportunity for you to gain a thorough insight into the different divisions that make up Technology, our working environment, people and culture as well as explore the type of work you could be doing if you join as an Analyst.
Placement and duration
The Technology Spring Insight Programme runs for four days in London and two days in Glasgow and will provide you with an overview of how Technology works within Morgan Stanley and the vital role it plays at the firm. You will gain an insight into the different departments within the division including Institutional Securities Technology (IST), Core Infrastructure (CI), Corporate Funding Technology (CFT) and Technology Risk (TR).
The programme is held in April 2020 (exact dates to be confirmed).
The programme consists of a mix of skills sessions, educational activities, workshops and case studies, as well as work shadowing opportunities. Throughout the programme, you will build on the skills necessary for a successful career in Technology. You will meet and network with Morgan Stanley employees from across all corporate levels and at the end of the programme will have the opportunity to be fast-tracked to a Summer Analyst/Industrial Placement position the following year.
Qualifications, skills and requirements
- You have an interest in Technology and a desire for a career within the Investment Banking industry
- You are ideally an undergraduate the first or second year of your degree course
- You are pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or another STEM related discipline
