We are looking for graduates to join our fast growing, dynamic and innovative company. We require graduates bursting with energy, drive and initiative who are striving to make a difference.

Graduates on this two year programme will support the delivery of projects across a wide range of areas including Product Development, Automation Engineering, Building Technology and Central Engineering Operations. With continuous support, graduates will spend two years refining skills, gaining valuable experience and learning where their capabilities, passion & ambitions lie. For graduates who want to be part of our exciting future, Ocado Engineering will look to retain talent and provide graduates with career progression which matches their aspirations.

Some of your responsibilities could involve:

  • Working at our warehouses (which we call "Customer Fulfilment Centres" or "CFCs") on the implementation, construction and testing of our solutions including highly Automated Machines
  • Working as part of a team responsible for a large part of the Automation Engineering system, supporting roll out to new sites through standardisation and providing expertise on site
  • Design Engineering, developing and reviewing drawings and working on standards and reports
  • Developing new methods for gathering necessary failure cause data and looking at root cause analysis
  • Development Projects Engineering, working as part of the team designing next generation machines
  • Reliability Engineering through data analysis and hands on testing

Ideally, we are looking for people with an engineering background, this could come from your degree area, a placement year or hands on experience. We welcome engineers from a wide range of disciplines and look forward to receiving your application.

Our Application Process

Applications to our schemes open on Monday 23rd September and should be made through the Ocado.jobs website, due to high volumes of applications our vacancy close dates are subject to change and our suggestion would be to apply as soon as possible. Following online applications, candidates may be invited to complete a series of online tests and a video assessment. Applicants who successfully complete these will be invited to attend an assessment centre at our Ocado central office in Hatfield. Assessment centres will be held in November and February and successful candidates will be invited to begin their roles from 7th September 2020.
