Our Logistics Concept Designers are some of the most well-connected people in our business. Working with our global partners and every area of our organisation as well as to ensure our fulfilment centres really deliver.
As well as logistics and design graduates, this programme is perfect for engineers, mathematicians, physicians, biologists and artists, who have all gone on to thrive in this business area.
Working as part of the “ New Customer Fulfilment Centres Design Team ”, you will complete rotations around key areas of the business and help develop the Concept design for Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) for the future.
With deals to build our CFCs across America, France, Canada and more in the UK, you will be part of the team making this happen, designing new facilities to meet our partners’ unique needs.
To help you get the best and broadest understanding and network across the business, your programme is split into two parts.
- 9 months of rotations around key departments.
- 9 months in the Design Team where you will actively
The first nine months of the scheme are spent rotating around a number of key departments to help you develop the business knowledge, core skills and professional network. You will rotate across the business including; CFC Operations, Service Delivery, Supply Chain, Business Planning, Automation Development, New CFCs Project Implementation and Operational Excellence.
Based within our Hatfield Central office, you will be exposed to various projects at different stages of completion, designing solutions independently, and collaboratively, using SketchUp to bring your ideas to life. In doing so you will be combining the innovations from Ocado Technology and Engineering to design the most effective CFCs.
This role will see you creatively work on the best way to integrate the essential elements of our CFCs to meet the requirements of our partner businesses. This is a design focussed logistics role, but it is not necessary to have studied a specific degree course to be successful. We want creative, original, enthusiastic graduates for this design-led role who are team players, can think innovatively, are willing to try new things and would rather try and fail than not try at all.
We are innovators, we are creators and we are problem solvers. We are Ocado Group Grads, are you?
