Type of opportunity:
Our purpose is to use the power of communications to make a better world. For each other, for our customers, for society and our communities. We need you to help us do this.
We work every day to deliver better service, broader coverage and faster speeds to everyone in the UK. Project Managers here at Openreach make sure strategically important projects and business changes are fully implemented across our business. And, given we’ve over 33,000 people, supporting more than 620 Communications Provider customers in connected more than 25 million UK homes and business to their networks, that’s no mean feat. That’s why as a Project Manager Graduate you might find yourself working on coordinating technology or commercial projects or focusing on transformation programmes to improve our business, network, customer and people experience.
You’ll begin by working alongside and supporting our current project managers, gaining confidence and knowledge. And then, as your knowledge grows, you’ll manage your own projects, which will get larger and more complex as your experience grows.
You’ll get to work on projects that will have a real business impact and by the time you’ve finished your two year rotational programme with us, you’ll be able to work across different projects in the business that will become increasingly larger and more complex. You will have developed some outstanding relationship and time management skills as well as a healthy dose of resilience and tenacity, all of which are vital to becoming a successful project manager.
The entry requirements of this scheme are 2:1, or 2:2 with a post graduate qualification. The starting salary is £28,250.
The locations for this scheme are, Glasgow, Ipswich and London. Some locations are more popular than others so if you’re invited to assessment centre and your preference is no longer available, we'll talk you through the other options.
