We are offering an exciting opportunity to join FIS as an entry level Project Manage r in the FIS University Program, based in London. This two-year program is suited to entry level joiners who aspire to develop a successful career with a leading financial technology company!

As a full-time FIS University Program participant, you will have the opportunity to participate in team projects, professional development seminars and work with a team that is invested in your growth, development, and success - including quarterly performance connects with your manager and bi-annual merit reviews.

The UK program has a start date in September 2022 with a dedicated “Learning Week” where you will:

  • Learn the unique nature of our industry, products, and the markets in which we work
  • Learn the structure of FIS and options for growth within the organisation
  • Hear from FIS leadership about their journey and participate in senior leader networking opportunities
  • Build a network of peers from across the organisation

Following the FIS University Program Learning week, you will continue your learning journey with the Network Change and Operations Policy team and receive functional and technical training as you settle into your role.

About the team

The role will be part of the Project Management team responsible for the supporting and delivering multiple projects. The main objective of the team is to deliver mandated project work from the card brands like Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

What you will be doing

This role has primary responsibility for supporting or leading specific project work to execute mandated change. You will be working closely with the more seasoned project managers on the team to deliver work where there are multiple technical teams and operational impact while also supporting the related business activities by confirming the impacted areas, identifying their related tasks, outlining a plan, and hosting project working groups to ensure successful and timely delivery.

You will primarily be responsible for:

  • Planning and coordinating all aspects of projects from initiation through delivery
  • Managing the project work plan and schedule to hold the team and project resources accountable to their tasks/delivery items by hosting regular project working groups/status meetings
  • Interacting with various teams like Business Owners, TechDev, Operations, Product, and other members of cross-functional teams
  • Managing project risks, issues/roadblocks, and activity progress to ensure project goals, e.g., deadline, scope and quality are achieved. Assisting with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed
  • Completing accurate and cohesive project status reporting via our reporting tool
  • Acting as role model by always championing the values and brand of FIS

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a business-related discipline. Project management qualification or experience is advantageous
  • Clear communicator (both written and verbal), able to actively listen and comfortable interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Be detailed-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
  • Highly organised with good time management skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn, ask questions and put forward ideas
  • You aspire to develop a successful career in project management, within the FinTech industry!
