Qualifying with CIMA will provide you a globally recognised professional qualification in management accountancy, allowing you to work in any sector, anywhere in the world. You’ll be qualified to work across organisations (not just in finance), advising managers on the implications of big decisions, formulating business strategy and monitoring risk.
Your route to qualifying with CIMA
If you don’t have any related qualifications, you’ll start with the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting (Cert BA), launching your career in business and finance. This is the entry route to the CIMA Professional Qualification, which has three stages in its syllabus: operational, management and strategic, comprising nine subjects. The whole process takes around four years to complete, including three years of practical experience. Once qualified, you’ll become a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), supported by CIMA and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA).
What we look for
Qualifying with CIMA is open to everyone, from school leavers to current students to graduates. If you’re a graduate, it doesn’t matter what subject your degree is in, although some subjects may provide you with exam exemptions, allowing you to qualify a little bit sooner.
How to apply
Direct to CIMA Student registration as a CIMA student. It’s straightforward: you’ll just need to provide your contact details, your current employment details (if you’re working) and your tuition provider (if you’re studying).
