Savills provides retail agency services to a wide and varied client base. The London in town agency team advise both landlord and retailer clients, dealing with High Street and Shopping Centre units across London and the South East of England. Agency roles include advising clients on acquisitions and disposals, lease consultancy, marketing and research assistance.

The London team is part of the wider national agency team with offices in Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The London in town team consists of 2 directors and one associate. A successful candidate will assist in all aspects of the teams activities and gain a wide breadth of experience.

About this role

“As a retail agency sandwich student you will be expected to assist with the general marketing of properties, drafting marketing details, attending viewings, speaking with interested parties and liaising with clients - along with many more tasks. Retail is an interesting and varied sector of surveying, where you will be involved with lots of different types of small to large properties”.

“One benefit of doing a sandwich placement is being able to experience your degree in action. We were often asked to read through leases at university which I now do almost every day. I know when I return to university I will have a greater depth of understanding about my course and hopefully this will benefit me. The placement could even lead to an early offer on the Savills Graduate Programme.”

As a sandwich placement student, you'll also have regular opportunities to attend technical, business skills and personal development activities - including conferences, courses, lectures, networking and social events. Your Sandwich placement can count towards 12 months of your APC.
