At Slaughter and May we train each of our lawyers to be a multi-specialist equipped to advise on a broad range of legal matters, which at other firms would be handled by a number of different lawyers. We think that by broadening your training and experience, you will be a better lawyer. We have built a reputation for delivering innovative solutions to difficult problems. 1st year open day 2020
We hold open days for 1st year law and non-law students every year.
The aim of the day is to provide an insight into the legal profession in general and more specifically the work of a City law firm. You will hear from partners, associates and trainees at the firm and have the opportunity to talk informally with them.
Reasonable travelling expenses will be reimbursed.

You will be asked to complete a short form and attach a copy of your covering letter and CV – this should include a full breakdown of your grades per subject for all your GCSEs and A levels (or equivalents).
Please give clear reasons for your application in your covering letter and why you think you could benefit from attending the open day. You should also include the results of any essays and exams that you have completed during your first year at university. Selection is based solely on your application form.
