Main Purpose of Job

Provide support in the development and maintenance of bespoke equipment, jigs, fixtures, design systems, and procedures in line with Niftylift standards.

Main Tasks of Job

  • Liaise with Design and Project Engineers at Niftylift MK or contracted service providers to ensure design controls are developed and maintained to Niftylift standards.
  • Support the design of jigs, fixtures, and bespoke equipment in a cost-effective manner without compromising quality and robustness.
  • Create bills of materials for all designs.
  • Work with senior design engineers to ensure designs comply with all machine directives and CE regulations.
  • Develop and maintain jigs and fixture designs, models, 2D drawings, calibration requirements, etc., to Niftylift standards.
  • Liaise with the Fabrication Validation Engineer to provide detailed analysis of the capability and functionality of new jigs and fixtures, and improve them for production readiness.
  • Develop and maintain the drawing control process and procedures for jigs and fixtures at Hoyland, following Niftylift standards.
  • Liaise with NPD Project Engineers (Hoyland) to support the delivery of projects on time.
  • Develop and maintain a drawing issue control system for jigs and fixtures to ensure project timelines are accurately recorded and discussed at project meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Working towards an engineering/design degree.
  • 3D and 2D CAD experience (preferably CREO or equivalent).
  • Design-biased background with jigs and fixtures development and control.
