The Infrastructure Line of Business is a cross-functional technical and commercial team that engages across the Arm partnership and drives our system architecture and product roadmaps for cloud to edge infrastructure. This team has the ultimate objective of driving Arm’s market share in servers, networking and high-performance computing (HPC) through strategic enterprise deployments and the optimization of hardware and software. The team provides technical leadership for interactions with key semiconductor and eco-system partners.


As an intern, you will work in the growing Infrastructure Product Management team, under the datacenter/HPC systems architect in Arm’s Cambridge office. This team is responsible for owning the Neoverse IP series of products. Within the team, the datacenter systems architect works with engineers on the technology roadmap that will feed into the Neoverse IP products.

The day-to-day role will involve:

You will assist with the landscape for the current technology investigations, looking into the cutting edge and upcoming developments on topics such as machine learning, accelerators, system architecture, power estimation and other topics of interest. You will get to interact and collaborate with experts from across the company; an excellent opportunity for growth and networking.

Based on your findings, you will present what you learnt and be encouraged to make suggestions.

What are we seeking in a candidate?

A BEng/BSc or more advanced degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, or other related field.

They will be able to assimilate information and from there develop their own ideas regarding that information
We need a candidate who is able to clearly and concisely communicate ideas, both technical and non-technical ideas.

You will have strong written and verbal communication skills.

In addition, we would be interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A good breadth of knowledge in computer architecture.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Machine Learning.
  • Able to demonstrate attributes of a self-starter, able to work on their own or as part of a collaborative team
  • A very real passion and enthusiasm for technology!

In addition some experience or exposure to Marketing or a Business Management type of background may also be useful for this position in the addition to the above.

  • Internship – Every summer, we welcome students in several of our UK locations to work on a range of projects. In addition, you will be able to build your network of like-minded individuals by being part of the summer program global community.
  • Part-Time Undergraduate Program - Our PTUGs aren’t just with us on a temporary basis for a few weeks over the summer. During term-time, you’ll continue to work for us for eight paid hours a month. These hours can be spent on contributing to projects, continuing your learning & development journey, wellness, corporate responsibility, environmental technology, or volunteering. Also, you get to stay in touch with your team and see how the work you have done during summer contributes to projects being deployed and delivered.
