This programme consists of rotational placements and therefore you must be willing to relocate as and when the programme requires.
Qualifications: You must have, or be predicted to gain, a 2:2 degree classification or above in an Engineering discipline.

About the role
Safety and Environmental Engineering is a part of Gas Transmission and plays a key role in ensuring that all our activities are carried out safely. Our Safety Engineering team provide expert knowledge that guarantees that the design and operation of our UK high pressure transmission network meet the rigorous safety requirements necessary.
You’ll be required to work with technical specialists from across the business on projects taking place across the UK. It’s a fast-paced environment so you’ll be expected to develop your technical and problem solving skills quickly and effectively. You’ll be provided with extensive training to ensure safety is always paramount and to further enhance our reputation within the industry.
What you'll do
The role revolves around ensuring that Gas Transmission meets it safety obligations under COMAH, Pipeline Safety Regulations, DSEAR, Human Factors, Functional Safety and Emergency Planning.
This may entail supporting projects in carrying out hazard studies and risk assessments. Alternatively, you might spend time developing safety cases for our key installations as required by the Health and Safety Executive and Environmental regulators. You can also expect to work with other subject matter experts to develop our policies and procedures to ensure that Gas Transmission is at the forefront of best practise and latest international standards. The role also involves carrying out analysis, safety studies, and presenting the results in a variety of formats depending upon the audience.
The role provides a varied and diverse workload where no two days will be the same. As Gas Transmission sites are spread all over the U.K, there will be the opportunity for extensive travel across the U.K.
