We are seeking a graduate with the aspiration to become one our next generation of leaders and technical experts for our Specialist Graduate Programme, which commences in September 2020. We have an opportunity for you to join us as a Specialist Procurement Graduate.

During the 2 year graduate programme you will be given a work portfolio that provides ownership, opportunity and responsibility to allow you to gain valuable commercial experience through key placements in Procurement & Supply Chain:

Process & Capability – Understanding, and contributing to improvement, in all procurement processes/systems & policy and improving the capability of the team.

Corporate Services & Supplies – Being involved in a key procurement category area, including integrated supply chain management. This could involve areas such as IT services; consultancy services; HR requirements.

Construction & Contractor Services – Developing an overview & experience in the construction market, including how the SW capital programme operates. This will include involvement in procurements & integrated supply chain management

Performance & Analytics – Understanding, and contributing to functional and strategic reporting and developing analysis that supports identification of opportunities to realise value.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain fantastic experience and be supported in your development within a Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply (CIPS) Platinum accredited Procurement Team.

The aim of this two year programme is to further develop your skills and expertise to enable you to take on a specialist technical role on completion of your Programme. Placement during the two years will allow you to challenge yourself and colleagues. We are looking for Graduates who have the determination to succeed and become our future experts and leaders.

You’ll be given the chance to stretch yourself on these placements across Scottish Water and across Scotland too… by being flexible in your thinking and sometimes in your location.

You will have a 2:2 degree in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Business Management / Commercial / Legal / Quantity Surveying / Social Sciences and may already have some work experience in the field, however work experience is not essential.
