We are looking for multitalented technology people, at any level of experience, who are interested in a lot of things, and find that no specific job description suits them. We are looking for those amongst us who don’t know where they fit in, but feel they fit in everywhere, and that one job would limit them.

Our employees may be asked to do anything from software engineering to client management, and a lot of the work requires learning new skills on the job. They never feel they are in a box, and we encourage them to develop themselves all the time.

We have two tracks for career progression: one leading to becoming a technology consultant and the other to becoming a systems architect. The former is much more client and business oriented, the latter is much more systems and technology oriented, so there is a path for everyone who loves technology.

As this is an entry-level position, the salary starts at 18k. However we provide generous annual appraisals, regular bonuses, and we will consider a higher starting salary if you have a higher degree of experience and skills.

The team works remotely as much as possible, but due to the nature of our work, we sometimes meet for training and to work on a piece of equipment together. We will never ask someone to come in for no legitimate reason.

Requirements

  • First and foremost, you must love technology. An “extracurricular” interest is strongly preferred.
  • You must know how to program a computer proficiently. This is non-negotiable.
  • Any experience with hardware, networking or electronics is a huge bonus.
  • Having a range of “maker” style interests is extremely valuable.
  • Be prepared to learn aggressively, outside your comfort zone, across many different topics.
  • Know how to do research and literature reviews, so you do not reinvent the wheel.
  • Believe that no task is beneath you when in the service of a bigger goal.
  • Be comfortable with risk and the unknown, and be patient with adversity and irrationality.
  • Communicate technology respectfully to those not technologically minded.
  • Balance diligence and quality with getting things done on time.
  • Write and communicate clearly, accurately, and concisely.
  • Show humility and integrity, and care for your teammates.
  • Understand we are a small business, and your work has a significant impact on our survival.
