The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the world's largest law schools. With an impressive history dating back to 1876, we employ over 900 staff and have over 14,000 students studying on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, along with an alumni network in excess of 100,000. We were the first-ever independent institution to be granted degree awarding powers and in 2012 we gained university title. In 2016, we opened our leading Business School, further enhancing our reputation as a full service legal, business and educational training specialist, operating from fourteen campuses throughout the UK, Berlin and Hong Kong.

The University is in an ongoing, exciting period of growth with ambitious plans for the future. It anticipates a significant increase in the number of applications in 2021/22, on top of two previous cycles of significant applicant growth. To support this the University is looking to appoint a number of Admissions Officers on fixed term contracts (6 months) to join our newly reformed Admissions Department which manages applications to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Professional/Taught products across The University of Law.

Delivering an excellent and seamless customer service experience to applicants by responding to applicant queries via phone, email through CRM, live chat and other media forms is a key part of the role. Post holders will also be responsible for making decisions on applications to products across the University using pre-agreed criteria and our applicant records system.

We are looking for candidates with a high level of organisational skills including the ability to multi-task to tight deadlines ensuring enquiries and applications are dealt with in accordance to service level agreements. Good interpersonal skills to enable successful working with staff and other stakeholders at all levels is also required. Previous experience of working within admissions is desirable not essential.

The role will be home based and you must be based within the UK.  The roles will be on shift patterns of either Tuesday – Saturday, or Sunday – Thursday and hours will be 8-4, 9-5 or 10-6 with an hour for lunch.

To arrange an informal discussion about the role, please contact Diane Hammond, Head of Admissions or Mark Kane, Deputy Head of Admissions

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University – which does not reflect our diverse student body - we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.
