Are you a recent graduate or college leaver, eager to learn, driven to succeed and ready to start changing it up? Are you ready to begin a career in Engineering? Then we’ve got a place for you at CityFibre.
We’ve got big plans for you
We’re on a mission to build the UK’s finest digital infrastructure and unleash Britain’s potential. We’re connecting communities, boosting businesses and giving everyone access to superfast broadband. Now we’re looking to train the next generation of Engineers, so we can continue to roll out Full Fibre at pace across the UK. Designed for recent graduates and college-leavers, with a starting salary of £22,500 depending on experience , our 6-months early careers programme will give you the skills and knowledge to become a qualified Quality Assurance Engineer - so if you’re ready to kickstart your career and start changing up your future, this could be the perfect opportunity.
What is a Trainee Quality Assurance Engineer?
You’ll be part of a City Build team, delivering fibre networks to communities. You’ll play a key role in monitoring and managing our Full Fibre networks, providing vital support, overseeing the work done by our Build Partners and liaising with key stakeholders. Making sure everyone stays up-to-date, and our projects are delivered to our quality standards, efficiently and on time. This means you’ll have to apply attention to detail to every stage of our build process as you will be responsible for assuring the quality of our build is to the highest standards. It’s an essential job, which is why we’ll give you all the training and support you need to succeed and start changing up Britain’s infrastructure.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have graduated or finished college in the last 2 years with a degree in your subject of choice. A STEM degree would be beneficial but it’s not essential. Although you don’t need any engineering experience, you will need the enthusiasm to learn, great communication skills, a good eye for detail and the drive to make a difference to the way Britain connects. When you join us as a Trainee, we’ll manage, mentor and develop your career, ensuring you build technical knowledge, gain field experience and get to work closely with people you can learn from – Planners, Project Managers and Build Managers. It’s an early careers programme designed to take you from enthusiasm to experience, with all the help you need.
