The Wilkes Partnership is an ambitious, independent and growing law firm based in Birmingham and Solihull. We are looking for talented graduates to join us for a 2 year training contract commencing in September 2024, and kick-start a successful career as a Solicitor.

Make an impact
You will definitely not be stuck doing the photocopying at Wilkes! Our trainees regularly work closely with senior solicitors and partners, meaning that you will gain direct experience of and insight into complex work. We expect all our trainees to take ownership and responsibility of their work from Day 1, balancing this with support and guidance from more experienced staff. We actively encourage curiosity and questioning, and see our Trainees as an integral part of our team.

We do not have (or foster) an “excessive hours” culture. We aim for flexibility and balance alongside a busy workload.
Alongside a top quality training experience you will receive a starting salary of at least £22,000 per annum, increasing to £40,000 per annum upon qualification, as well as a number of great benefits, including 24 days annual leave plus additional days at Christmas, pension, life assurance and discounts on gym memberships.
Beyond the 2 years, we pride ourselves on attracting quality candidates who are the potential future leaders of the firm. We will have regular discussions with you throughout your training contract to understand your preference in the area of law you wish to pursue, and we aim to retain 100% of our Trainees at the end of their training contracts.
