The world of travel is undergoing significant digital transformation, and this placement offers you a fantastic opportunity to get involved and add value at the leading edge of this change and gain hands-on experience in our dynamic and exciting industry.
During your Digital Sales and Merchandising placement, you’ll be creating, implementing and managing a range of on-site merchandising campaigns, working alongside the rest of the team to maintain website promotions and special offers to drive conversion through to the TUI UK & Ireland websites. You’ll also be liaising with our Commercial, Tourist Board and Design teams to ensure effective on-site marketing support for Tourist Boards.
You’ll work with a wide range of teams across the whole business, giving you a broad and in-depth understanding of the whole company. You’ll build a close relationship with the Design team to produce innovative and engaging content which balances the needs of the business with that of the customer, and you’ll be responsible for aligning customer communications across multiple channels, coordinating messaging and promotions alongside teams such as Social Media, Online Marketing, CRM and User Experience.
A key part of your placement will also be balancing customer needs with the broader TUI UK & Ireland goals. You’ll be monitoring and reviewing online sales performance, as well as identifying merchandising opportunities to hit targets. Understanding customer needs and wants will also give you the opportunity to suggest changes to the customer journey and experience, while contributing to the execution of the Digital Marketing Strategy. You’ll also carry out regular competitor analysis to track activity within the rest of the industry.
Our placements are suitable for those who are on a sandwich degree course, looking for a 12-month placement to commence in August 2020, and due to graduate by September 2022, as you’ll complete the industrial placement in your penultimate year of university.
You’ll be on track for a 2:1 or above in any subject, and have a minimum of 120 UCAS points under the 2017 tariff system (extenuating circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis).
