What will I be doing?

Supporting the wellbeing and championing the success of the 168,000 people working for us worldwide. Unilever’s HR function is committed to contribute to the Sustainable Living Plan in as many ways as possible. Wherever you’re based in the business, you will gain experience of driving culture change, managing employee relations, developing talented individuals and leaders, turning around the performance of teams and much more. It’s all about shaping our organisation from within.

What do we look for?

We need HR people who are mindful and responsive to contexts, audiences and individuals and are inspired to develop colleagues and the capabilities required for our winning business. No specific qualification is required.  People skills are essential. The role of HR in Unilever as a core strategic business area means we look for people with ambition, an interest in business and the courage to offer creative insights and execute change. Individuals who are able to build relationships and have a talent in influencing and negotiation go a long way.

What will the programme involve?

The three-year, world-class development programme is packed with variety and challenge, with the opportunity of promotion to manager level after 3 years. You’ll develop your individual leadership skills by working on live projects which offer you all the experience you need to become ready for your first management role. Your placements of 6-9 months will provide experiences within:

  • Talent, Organisation & Analytics
  • Business Partnering
  • Reward or Learning
  • Factory HR
  • HR Services

First-hand experience – it’s the fastest way to learn. You’ll work across many disciplines with our best people. By experiencing a short placement in field sales, you’ll also meet the most important people we know: our customers and consumers.

Location:

Placements may be in different business units across the UK & Ireland, so you need to be flexible about where you are based during the programme.
