Join the Welsh Financial Services Graduate Programme to become a key driver of organisational growth, for a consortium of employers where you will make a genuine impact. The Programme offers a unique, 2-year experience, designed by the Financial Services profession.

We are recruiting for the Financial Services Graduate Programme starting in September 2021. This prestigious Programme has been running since 2013 and has recruited over 165 graduates to date. 98% of our graduates have secured permanent roles in their chosen career path and preferred employer within the consortium.

We are passionate about diversity and our Programme is inclusive! Everyone is welcome to apply for this exceptional experience. We do, however require a degree graded 2.1 or above in any discipline and the right to live and work in the UK.

The Programme offers a distinctive opportunity to sample a range of different career participating employers includes companies such as Admiral Group, Atradius, LexisNexis, Principality Building Society, Vauxhall Finance, Optimum Credit and Hodge Bank.

Building upon the impressive results so far, we are looking for outstanding graduates who are looking to gain experience, contributing to real world projects combined with academic excellence. We are looking for highly energised and inquisitive graduates with a desire and passion to succeed. Does this sound like you? You will be…

  • Autonomous and independent thinker

  • A great leader in a group situation
  • Disciplined achiever of results
  • Intelligent communicator

In return, we will provide you with 3 x 8-month placements across a network of leading global employers and to complement your learning - a fully funded part-time applied Masters qualification to get you that step closer to your career aspirations. You will benefit from a structured development Programme, a large professional Data Science network and a competitive salary.

 Why Apply?

Matchless employment experience at your fingertips

We all know that demonstrating work experience can be a challenge for graduates. The 2-year, rotational Programme provides huge opportunities to lead on interesting and business critical work. You’ll experience at least 3 rotations within Financial Services job roles within businesses at different stages enabling a fully rounded skillset.

 Academia and employment experience aligned

We act as the conduit between universities and employers ensuring that the Programme continuously improves. It’s important to us that your academic learning is brought to life through placements and work-based projects, so we are constantly aligning your needs with market demand.

Next level emotional intelligence as a by-product

Unlike other Programmes you will be thriving within ‘multiple’ businesses, bringing your learning to life, experiencing different cultures, leadership styles, engagement, communications, systems and sharing in successful initiatives.

How different can their cultures be? You’ll explore the unknown, quickly finding your feet through building key relationships. You’ll quickly make a difference by questioning and challenging the norm, driving change and leading the way.

Why now?

There is no better time for you to enter the Financial and Professional services sectors. The only thing certain is that change is upon us and we need your fresh thinking, market leading skills and innovation to guide us.

How do I apply?

Firstly, you must be eligible to work in the UK and have achieved a degree graded 2.1 or above. Due to the nature of the Programme, we are unable to recruit students who require a visa or sponsorship.

Send a CV and cover letter explaining why you are interested in the Programme and working within Financial Services, by 31.3.21

Shortlisted candidates will undertake online testing, a video interview and attend an Assessment Centre in June. If successful, candidates will be invited to join the Programme starting in September 2021.

The Welsh Financial Services Graduate Programme is managed by the Welsh Contact Centre Forum and part funded by the European Social Fund.
