I really enjoyed studying Biochemistry at the University of Reading, but none of the careers connected to that subject appealed to me. But the Aviva graduate scheme did. It gave me a chance to develop the data-based problem-solving skills I’d learnt during my studies. And the chance to rotate through different areas of Aviva while studying for a professional qualification was something I really valued.

I’m getting the chance to develop my finance and business knowledge here as I explore different areas of Aviva. I’ve already experienced expense modelling, cost allocation and learnt how to use analysis software. I’m currently reviewing performance data to analyse trends and reveal ways the business can improve. Everyone I’ve met has been keen on hearing my input, and I’m always encouraged to challenge the way things are done.
