Our recruitment process
You can apply to any of our programmes online via our recruitment system. When you select the ‘Apply’ button on a programme advert, you will need to create an account. You will then be asked to complete a number of fields within the diversity and application forms including your contact details, and upload a copy of your CV, unless you were instructed that you don’t need to include a CV in the advert.
You can apply at any time throughout the year - we have programmes starting every 8 – 12 weeks.
The assessment process that follows your application depends on the programme you have applied for, but the process may include the following steps:
Telephone screen call: this is usually the first stage of the process after your application. You will be contacted by one of our Resourcing team to discuss the programme you’ve applied for, your CV and any questions you have about the programme. It is generally conducted over the phone but can be conducted over video interview if preferred.
Telephone interview: this is a competency-based interview with one of the Resourcing Team. It is generally conducted over the phone but can be conducted over video interview if preferred.
IKM Logic and Reasoning assessment: this is a multiple-choice assessment created by our assessment provider, IKM. The assessment typically takes around 70 minutes to complete, but there is no time limit overall. It has 5 sections relating to Numerical Reasoning, Cognitive Processing, Analytical Reasoning, Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension.
Assessment centre: this is a full day on-line assessment centre via MS Teams. The day includes presentations from the Capita team, candidate introductions, a written exercise relevant to the programme you have applied for, a video interview* on MS Teams with one of our Trainers, and a group exercise.
*The video interview may take place on a different day
Feedback and Offer: receive feedback within 48 hours and if selected for the programme you will receive an offer of a place on your chosen stream.
Making changes to support you through the application process
We want to make sure our assessment process is as accessible for you as possible, so if you have a condition that you believe may impact your ability to complete any of the type of tasks mentioned above, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate any adjustments to the process you may need. If you’re unsure about anything or have any specific queries that you would like to speak to a member of our resourcing team about, please email email@example.com and we will get back to you.
