What were you doing before Dexters and how did you join us?

I started my career journey as an Accounts Junior for an estate agent in Richmond and over the course of eight years I ended up running the department. I then moved on to help set up the Client Accounts Department for a property developer in Battersea. They had finalised the first phase of the development and I was lucky enough to be a part of that exciting first year. Dexters contacted me directly and mentioned they had a new role as Head of Client Accounts, looking after a large team, which seemed like an unmissable opportunity.

Where did you start and where are you now?

I am now Head of Client Accounts and have been with Dexters for two and a half years. My role can be challenging at times, the volume of work is impressive to say the least, but we aim to work as one and to be as flexible as possible. Everyday is different to the last; my day can range from posting rentals, to adding new acquisitions, as well as continuing to support our 100+ offices. Within my first six months at Dexters I passed my ARLA Level 3 qualification and am looking forward to further studies in 2021.

What is your favourite thing about your role?

My favourite part of my role is problem solving! I get great satisfaction from finding that final piece of an accounts puzzle!

What advice would you give to somebody looking to get into the industry?

My advice to someone looking to get into property would be, it is a fantastic career opportunity; by nature we are all very sociable and love what we do. Be confident in what you can bring to the table and always push forward. Work hard and work smart.

Where is your favourite place in London?

My favourite place in London would be Victoria and Albert Museum, it's the perfect place to immerse yourself within the old and new cultures of London.
