Graduates into Health have developed a unique developmental scheme for high potential graduates, to plug the gap of IT and technology professionals within the NHS. The scheme is a ‘grow your own’ model with graduates being given the fantastic opportunity to work in trusts across the UK, from the North West to London and the surrounding counties in the south. This is a two year scheme for graduates interested in a fast-track career in Digital, Data and Technology. Graduates will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain a level 4 apprenticeship qualification which will underpin their experiential learning, gained in role
  • Have two placement rotations
  • Receive full continuous professional development, endorsed by the Institute for Leadership and Management
  • Receive mentoring support
  • Progress from NHS Band 5 role to Band 6/7, on successful completion

The scheme aims to create non-clinical employment pathways for students between local universities and NHS bodies. The benefits of the programme include reducing graduate unemployment, raising ambition, contributing to a stable local economy that can innovate and create wealth, and offer savings for a financially challenged NHS by creating access to new talent, who will be tomorrows future leaders.
