Learn by Design is a market leading Education Outreach company that has been working since 1995 to provide schools, children and young people with enriching educational experiences.

We often work on behalf of employers and public sector clients to develop and deliver exciting events, programmes and competitions aimed at raising young people’s aspirations or inspiring them into particular careers, pathways or sectors.

We are one of the largest National Citizen Service (NCS) providers and looking to recruit over 900 seasonal staff members to work with us this year!

What is NCS?

The National Citizen Service (NCS) is a Youth Programme open to 15 to 17 year-olds in England over Summer and Autumn. It helps build their skills for work and life, while taking on new challenges and meeting new friends.

NCS brings together young people from different backgrounds and helps them develop greater confidence, self-awareness and responsibility.

Working with us

Working with NCS will give you the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of young people, guiding them through a personal and social progression over 2-week programmes. There are several roles available for all levels of experience but enthusiasm, excellent teamwork, and the ability to motivate is vital across all roles!

Candidate experience (desirable):

  • Able to build a positive rapport with young people
  • Excellent teamwork and the ability to collaborate with colleagues
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Well organised individual
  • Experience of working in a demanding environment
  • Ability to inspire and motivate both teams and individuals

Recruitment process

1. All candidates are required to submit an application form online

2. We will then offer an interview to successful candidates.

3. Job offers are usually made within 5 working days after the interview
