A graduate job at McDonald’s is focused on restaurant management – it involves overseeing the performance and development of large teams and identifying ways in which to improve customer service, build sales and profitability. Following the training period, which can last up to six months, trainee managers are promoted to assistant manager and become part of the core restaurant management team. Successful trainee managers can, in future, progress to managing all aspects of a £multi million business – opportunities can then arise to progress to area management roles or secondments in support departments. Trainee managers need to be logical thinkers, have a great attitude and be committed to delivering a great customer experience.
