I joined Operis at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was anxious about starting a new job remotely and having difficulty connecting with colleagues while settling into the role. I was worried that being unable to communicate with colleagues in person would make the transition to work life a lot harder.
However, it has been the complete opposite. It has been easy to connect with colleagues online, including the team from London. Everyone has been so happy and eager to help me feel comfortable. Operis has made it a priority to keep everyone connected with weekly gatherings and catch-up sessions.
There are also plenty of after-work activities such as board game nights, film clubs and other social gatherings to maintain those everyday interactions that are missed when working remotely.
