Meet Jess, Communications and Marketing

I enjoyed university but found that, by my final few months, I was ready for something new. I didn’t have a particular career in mind, but I knew I wanted to do something exciting that would still challenge me and allow me to do things I enjoy, like writing.

Something that’s really important to me is believing in the company I work for, which I found right away at TPP. One of the great things about my role is I get to hear all the time how much of a difference our solutions really make in the day-to-day lives of healthcare staff. Hearing and sharing stories about how TPP’s products are truly improving care and even saving lives is something I never get tired of and is really fulfilling.

My role is so varied that it seems unfair to try and sum it up in just a few sentences! My main responsibilities are looking after TPP’s image and promoting our products, stay up-to-date with the most pressing issues and challenges in healthcare and digital, and maintaining important relationships with key contacts outside of the company. In terms of what projects I might work on, it really does change all the time. It can be anything from creating a plan for how a new implementation will be communicated across an entire NHS Trust, to coordinating a 2000+ person event we may be headlining, to having meetings with our local MP.

I love the fact that everyday is different and that I have the opportunity to get involved in so many different projects. I’ve always had an interest in politics and policy, so it’s great to have a job where that interest is genuinely beneficial and you’re able to see how healthcare policy really works on the ground.

One of the things I loved most about University was being in Leeds, so I knew I wanted to stay here after I graduated. I love going to gigs or new restaurants and bars, and Leeds is perfect for that. After 3 and a half years of living here, I still haven’t run out of new places to try!
