About Wellington Management
Wellington Management is a privately owned Investment Management company.
Tracing our roots to 1928, Wellington Management is one of the world’s largest independent investment management firms. With over US$1.1 trillion in assets under management we serve as a trusted adviser to institutional clients and mutual fund sponsors in over 65 countries. Our innovative investment solutions are built on the strength of proprietary, independent research and span nearly all segments of the global capital markets, including equity, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternative strategies. As a private partnership whose sole business is investment management, our long-term views and interests are aligned with those of our clients. We are committed to attracting a talented and diverse workforce, and to fostering an open, collaborative culture of inclusivity because we believe multiple perspectives lead to more informed investment and business decisions. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we welcome people with diverse life experiences, fresh ideas, and specialized subject-matter expertise.
Our recruitment process
Wellington Management has a very humanistic and personal approach to recruitment. At each stage of the process you will meet with an individual or group of representatives from the firm, rather than machine interviewing. The process will involve an initial HR screening interview, followed by one or two more specific rounds of functional interviews with representatives from the area of the business you have applied to.
Culture and values
Culture and values are at the heart of why Wellington is such a great place to work, our website outlines many of our cultural pillars and at Wellington we are proud to say that we live and work by these every day. Being a privately owned firm allows us to foster and retain a unique culture of collaboration, transparency, curiosity and long termism. Importantly, we also value good humored individuals and those that bring a positive attitude to our offices.
Equality and diversity
We believe that a diverse workforce and inclusive culture are vital to success. To achieve them, Wellington Management has an integrated, global approach to attract, hire, develop, and retain world-class talent.
We take pride in our diverse backgrounds and experiences — inclusive of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, creed, national origin, age, ancestry, disability (physical or mental), medical condition, citizenship, marital status, pregnancy, veteran or military status, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. They help us challenge conventional wisdom, spark creative thinking, and enrich our lives and relationships.
Our approach to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture is driven by leaders of the firm, implemented by managers, supported by employees, and guided by our director of Global Diversity and Inclusion.
Our cross-functional Diversity Committee supports a multiyear diversity and inclusion strategy, with specific goals linked to three areas of focus: talent, culture, and community.
