I have been with WSP in the Development Planning team for 7 months, having graduated from Durham University with a degree in physical geography. In my team, we advise on the planning, design and assessment of future-ready access and transport strategies for UK and international development projects, embracing the transition to net-zero and healthy lifestyles. I enjoy the variety of work that I get in this role and that no two projects are the same.
Why should you join my team?
- During my time I’ve been able to work on a wide range of residential, commercial, leisure and retail projects for a variety of challenging sites from London to Abu Dhabi. We get to work on some of the most unique projects out there, from Sports Cities in the Middle East to major redevelopment schemes in cities around the country.
- The team is talented, knowledgeable, and always willing to aid you in your career development. Operating from offices around the country, the team is made up of people with a wide skillset and a variety of specialisms.
- There are lots of social opportunities both within Development Planning and with graduates and early career professionals from other disciplines. This includes trips away, after-work socials and whole-office events.
- I’ve found lots of opportunities to progress my career with WSP, such as paid professional memberships, mentoring on the journey towards chartership, national networking events with other WSP graduates and structured training.
