**Law at Reading**

Our Centre for Commercial Law and Financial Regulation is a forum for conducting research and disseminating knowledge on international commercial law. You will also benefit from our strong links with the Graduate Institute of Political and International Studies, Henley Business School, and the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) Centre.

Students on the Global Law LLM programmes benefit from links with the Walker Institute, the School of Politics, Economics and International Relations, the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, and with Global Law at Reading (GLAR). Based at the School of Law, GLAR is a research hub that offers networking, conference and work experience opportunities.

Alongside your core subjects, there will be career development and co-curricular opportunities and a series of guest lectures by practitioners.

Entry requirements

You are normally required to have a good undergraduate Honours degree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK). If you have other qualifications and a number of years' relevant work experience then you also be eligible to apply.

Standard requirement is a 2:1 or higher in an undergraduate degree. However, our participants come with a variety of relevant legal and non-legal experience and all applicants are considered on individual merit.

Course modules

Sample modules may include:

* Legal issues in oil and gas

* Oil and gas contract law

* Corporate governance and accountability

* Climate change policy and governance

* Soils, waste and environmental management


These course fees cover the cost of your tuition. Some courses will require additional payments for field trips and extra resources. You will also need to budget for your accommodation and living costs.
