European Law

This course delivers a powerful shot of specialist knowledge that will enhance your career. It's suitable for recent graduates, legal professionals, legal academics or anyone working with European law in the private or public sector.

Specialist modules include: European Patent Law; Judicial Protection in the European Union; Economic Multi-level Governance in the EU; European Copyright Law; EU Health Law.

Entry requirements

We normally require a minimum 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, usually in law or a subject with a sufficient legal component. Other qualifications will be considered as will applications from candidates with work experience in a relevant field.

English language requirements

Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.

Course modules

Specialist modules include: European patent law; judicial protection in the European Union (EU); economic multi-level governance in the EU; European copyright law; EU external relations law; European corporate governance; EU health law.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by essays and a dissertation.
