System on Chip
Systems in mobile telephones, computers, cars and aircraft are shrinking, with many parts implemented as a single integrate circuit. This programme prepares
you for the rapidly changing skills required to support this. The focus is on system-on-chip design techniques and extensive practical use of cutting-edge and industry-standard methods. You will be taken through the system-on-chip design process, from concept to implementation.
MSc: A UK bachelor's degree with upper second-class honours or higher. (See website for specific details and international equivalent qualifications.) English language: band 2c, IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in all components.
Compulsory modules include:
Digital IC and Systems Design; Digital System Design; Secure Hardware Design; SOC Design Project; MSc Research Project and Dissertation; Project Preparation.
Optional modules include: Advanced Wireless Communications Networks and Systems; Analogue and Mixed Signal CMOS Design; Cryptography; Digital Systems Synthesis; Embedded Processors; Medical Electrical and Electronic Technologies; Nanoelectronic Devices; Real-Time Computing and Embedded Systems.
Coursework, examinations, written project (design, development or research) and dissertation.
