Entry requirements

MA: Entry requirements (Home)

Normally minimum 2.2, relevant professional experience and current employment as an educational practitioner.

Course modules

Your programme is made up of a number of core modules which are part of the course framework. Some programmes also have optional modules that can be selected to enhance your learning in certain areas and many feature a dissertation, extended report or research project to demonstrate your advanced learning.

On this programme:

in year one you will study three core modules worth 20 credits each and two optional modules worth 20 credits each
in year two you will study one core module worth 20 credits
in year three you will study one core module worth 60 credits

Assessment methods

To cater for the wide-ranging content of our courses and the varied learning preferences of our students, we offer a range of assessment methods on each programme. Assessment techniques vary from module to module to reflect relevant assessment approaches and the key learning points of each topic.

?Assessment methods on this course include: individual and group work tasks, presentations, essays, reports, critical reflection on professional practice accounts, action research reports and dissertations and other appropriate activities. All assessments are closely linked to school and college-based practice. There is a strong emphasis on the application of ideas developed in the context of your own classroom, school or setting.
