Business and Management (International Business)

The course is designed to help students to develop knowledge and understanding of business and management and be able to implement this effectively across a wide range of complex business-based scenarios. Students develop the specialist knowledge, understanding and techniques needed to develop and operate businesses in the dynamic and complex international environment. Students engage in the advanced study of international business management, international relations and international financial management for a diverse range of organisations, and the rapidly changing environments in which they operate internationally.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements for our postgraduate courses vary. We are generally looking for a good honours degree or equivalent. Some courses also require an interview or the submission of a portfolio of work.

Course modules

Core modules include: management in practice; marketing management; financial management for international business; international business and management; dissertation/consultancy project. Then additional optional modules from: financial and management accounting; strategy and governance; managing people; marketing communications; entrepreneurship.

Assessment methods

A variety of assessment methods are utilised, including: individual report; individual presentation; group project work; group presentation; examination. Assignments are designed to integrate theoretical concepts with practical application.
