International Taxation and Finance

This interesting and wide-ranging course is a conversion course, which is ideal for graduates who would like to change subjects or career direction.

Modern businesses, especially those who operate in the international market, need a firm understanding of their financial position and their tax affairs. Here at the Business School, we have one of the UK's strongest teaching teams in taxation, and are therefore best positioned to provide you with a unique set of skills that are in high demand.

We begin by developing your understanding of how corporations report their financial data (Financial Reporting), before moving onto examine the implications international taxation and taxation policy can have for the modern global corporation. This course will also provide you with the transferable skills needed for a successful future career in accounting and finance: effective teamwork, objective analysis and effective communication.

Entry requirements

A good Bachelor's Honours degree (2.2 or above), or equivalent, in any subject. If English is not an applicant's 1st language they will need IELTS 6.0 (academic) or above.

Course modules

Modules include: international accounting and analysis; international corporate finance; economics of money and financial markets; international direct taxation; international indirect taxation; public finance and tax policy; research project. Optional: work experience.
