Our International MBA has been developed to address business leadership in an uncertain world of continuous disruption. It provides a strategic and global view of business, with a focus on building your problem solving, creative thinking, and empathy skills; all within an international context. If you are interested in making the shift from manager to leader in your organisation this programme could be for you.
If you are already an experienced manager, but aspire to work in more senior positions, this course will enhance your understanding of global businesses, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
This programme covers all the key business functions but with a unique perspective: resilience, and core skills for future-proofing your organisation. Your final project may take the form of a dissertation, consultancy project or work based learning project, and this flexibility will mean that you can tailor your learning to suit your needs.
From international finance to marketing strategy, and digital leadership to project management, by the end of the programme you will have developed a strategic, integrated and holistic perspective on organisations and management.
You will explore the issues that many organisations face today, including: globalisation, widening markets and competition, crisis and emergency planning for executives, reporting of financial information, how talent management contributes to organisations, the opportunities and threats posed by interconnected digital dependencies,executive decision-making across global environments.
On completion of the Bucks International MBA you will be confident in your leadership capabilities, and prepared for senior management career progression.
Applicants for the programme should have a good Honours degree; and relevant work experience in business.
International financial management; international marketing; management science and systems; consultancy skills and research methods; international trade and competition; international logistics and operations performance; international strategy and organisations. Students then choose one of the following modules: consultancy project; dissertation. Students also choose one of the following modules: foreign exchange strategy; project management; organisational design and development; international management and change; consumer behaviour and culture; European union law; dispute resolution 1: theory and applications; marketing research and analysis.
Assessment includes coursework and examinations. Coursework may include group projects, presentations and online participation. The dissertation represents one third of the marks for the final award.
