Business Administration (Executive)

The Cardiff School of Management (CSM) Executive MBA programme has been developed in conjunction with the Chartered Management Institution (CMI) syllabuses to develop you as an effective manger and future leader. The CSM Executive MBA could be the catalyst your career needs to move to a more senior role or function or it could enable you to develop beyond your technical specialism. The programme is focussed on building a deeper understanding of core business and management disciplines and learning how they link together strategically and operationally.

The core elements of CSM Executive MBA - strategic management, operations management, strategic marketing, human resource management (HRM) and accounting, economic and finance (AEF) are delivered through intensive modular input in weekend blocks, with additional online activities, real business projects to encourage a deeper understanding, with a strong emphasis on interactive teaching and learning. The elective modules allow you to specialise in areas of change management, professional consultancy, project management and six-sigma.

The CSM Executive MBA programme format is delivered at a pace that suites you and your work commitment - it is highly practical and action-oriented approach. You can complete your Executive MBA over: a 'fast-track' 24-months or you can study for a Postgraduate Certificate in Executive Business Administration in your 1st year, a Postgraduate Diploma in Executive Business Administration in your 2nd year and in your 3rd year complete your Exec MBA.

CMI qualifications are an excellent way to enhance your professional reputation. The CSM Executive MBA programme is accredited by CMI and offers you the opportunity to gain a range of CMI qualification such as the CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership, the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership and Charter Management Status via the exemption route.

Entry requirements

MBA (Executive): Applicants should normally have one of the following:

A Honours degree at least 2:2 and at least four years management work experience
Other professional qualifications such as CIM or CIMA will also be considered plus four years management work experience.
