The MBA at Liverpool Business School provides experienced professionals with the space, and level of contemporary expertise needed to fortify a career on the frontline of executive competition, creativity and commercial acumen.
This MBA has been designed for ambitious graduates and experienced managers, new to Higher Education, with the level of insight required to not only transform their modes of operation, but also that of the business they are in. We welcome applications from those who possess an applied understanding of commercial acumen and the drive to competitively progress into high-salaried positions of senior responsibility.
The programme is aimed at managers and professionals with a minimum of two years' relevant management experience who wish to develop a portfolio of leadership skills and business competencies. This will be done through the application of frameworks, business models and theories derived from practical business experience, cutting-edge theories and academic texts.
This internationally recognised business qualification can be studied while in employment or as full-time course. As well as stimulating your intellect, the MBA will develop new competencies that will enable you to progress beyond your current position.
Within this framework you will learn to apply the management skills and strategic business knowledge required to operate as an effective manager within a modern work environment. This specialist education will equip you with cross-functional abilities and transferable management skills and will ensure that you are making a positive contribution to organisational impact.
Applicants should normally be, or have been, in a position where they undertake important management decisions. Admission requires a mix of experience, academic development and intellectual aptitude and all applicants must be able to demonstrate their ability to benefit from and contribute to the programme.
Those who meet the required level of industry experience (normally two or more years in management) should have or expect to gain a minimum of a good second class honours degree.
Those with significant experience but no first degree are also encouraged to apply. Admission is normally by interview, following the submission of a formal application. TWO references are required.
