Computing and Information Systems
This MSc in Computing and Information Systems focuses on both technological aspects of hardware and software systems, together with a study of their operational and managerial environment. This focus will ensure you are kept up-to-date with technical innovations while also widening your experience by combining your technical skills with an understanding of information technology and its management.
Entry requirements
MSc: Good Honours degree in Computing or a Computing-related subject or equivalent professional qualification. International applicants: minimum of IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in each component). Applicants awarded a UK degree within 24 months of the start of the MSc are exempt from this requirement.
Course modules
Core modules: project dissertation; advanced software engineering concepts; research methods; computer systems technology; management of e-business; database design and technology. Option modules: advanced data structures and algorithms; software development with JAVA; computer forensics; computer security.

You'll gain core knowledge and understanding on this course via lectures, tutorials, practicals, coursework, projects, seminars and guided independent study.
You will also receive feedback on all work you produce.
Assessment methods for knowledge and understanding comprise coursework and examinations including laboratory work, reports, project work and presentations.
