About Manchester Metropolitan University
Manchester Metropolitan University offers a wide variety of professionally relevant courses with a firm focus on employability and industry experience. We have a community of over 38,000 current undergraduate and postgraduate students and more than 300,000 alumni. There are five different faculties within the University: Business and Law, Arts and Humanities, Education, Health, Psychology and Social Care, and Science and Engineering.

Our Research Centres focus on areas of excellence and quality – REF 2014-2021 rated 85% of our research as “world-leading” and “internationally excellent”.
We have research centres in Health, Ecology and Environment, Computer Science, Engineering and Materials, Business and Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Creative Writing and English Literature, History, and Art.
There are 28 Knowledge Transfer Partnerships across our University, enabling businesses to improve their competitiveness, productivity and performance. We are a top 10 UK university for Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and we are highly rated for research in Medical Technology, Creative Writing, and Education.

At Manchester Metropolitan University, we offer a welcoming, stimulating and supportive environment in which to study for your postgraduate qualification. Our award-winning, inspirational campus in the heart of Manchester provides vibrant learning spaces and excellent facilities across modern and historical buildings that reflect our teaching excellence since 1824.
We have spent £350m creating an outstanding place to study and we have committed a further £400m to continue to develop new facilities, buildings and public spaces. The result is not just a modern campus brimming with the latest industry-standard equipment, but also a collection of buildings designed with the environment in mind. As a result, Manchester Met is one of the top green universities in the UK on the People and Planet University League.
Our 24-hour library offers the complete multi-media learning environment – with social spaces, silent study zones and the University’s Special Collections museum. It offers access to over 900,000 books, journals and e-books, as well as hundreds of PCs and study areas.
Whether you already participate in sport or would like to try new activities, there are more than 100 sports and activity clubs to get involved with. Scholarships / Bursaries

Postgraduate Loan Scheme
The funding available for postgraduate study is different depending on whether you normally live in England, Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland.
2020/21 scheme figures for students normally living in England have been proposed at £11,222 (subject to Government approval). The loan is non-income assessed and is available for students studying an eligible masters course. Once details have been finalised, further information will be available here.
Alumni Loyalty Discount
If you are a Manchester Met graduate and you meet the requirements, you may be able to get 10% off your fees with the Alumni Loyalty Discount.
International Postgraduate Scholarships, September 2020 Entry (Non-EU applicants only)
Scholarships of up to £2,500 are available for high-achieving applicants. This scholarship is open to international students who enrol on a full-time postgraduate masters programme and meet the eligibility criteria. The scholarship is awarded automatically upon enrolment, no application is required. Visit the University website for further details and eligibility criteria.
