*** Important information: academic review of Manchester Metropolitan University Cheshire campus, Manchester Metropolitan University has been undertaking a review of the long-term future of academic provision at its Cheshire campus. It has now been confirmed that the University will withdraw from the Cheshire campus. This means that we expect the campus to close in the summer of 2019. You will normally have a 2:2 or above UK honours degree (or international equivalent) in any subject. Applicants who do not meet the academic entry requirements may also be considered if they have degree equivalent professional qualifications of significants relevant management experience.
Typical units of study may include: Year 1: core units: Academic Professional Practice; Strategic Management Practice; Principles of Management Practice; Creating and Managing Sustainable Organisations; Research Methods;
Thinking and Leading Strategically; Managing Change; Dissertation.
You will be continually assessed through assignments, case study presentations and your dissertation will usually be based on empirical research.
All of the books required for the course are available from the library. The University also has PC labs and a laptop loan service. However, many students choose to buy some of the core textbooks for the course and/or a laptop. Students may also need to print their assignments and other documents. Campus printing costs start from 5p per page. Estimated costs are £300 for a laptop up to £100 for books and printing. Total optional cost: £400
