Managing teams across a business requires specific skills. On this course, you'll explore management styles and how to apply them. We'll also help you identify your own style and hone the skills you need to relate to employees across organisations and cultures.

Whatever your background, we'll help you develop the business acumen and confidence you need to apply for managerial roles or graduate schemes.

Blending academic theory with applied management practices, our Masters in Management mirrors our MBA. You'll graduate with a thorough understanding of business management and the most advanced tools and theories used by managers around the world.

**Managing on a global stage**

Most businesses now operate internationally. You'll explore how to manage people from different cultures and look at the role of the manager in a global setting.

Discover the challenges and opportunities that come from globalisation and learn about the complexities of management in multinational organisations.

**Industry experts**

Learn from academics with practical experience in strategy, ethics, organisational behaviour and innovation.

Masterclasses by keynote speakers from industry and business visits support the teaching on the course. Drawing on the experience from such a wide range of sources will prepare you for management roles in any sector.

Entry requirements

MSc: You will normally have a good UK honours degree (minimum 2:2), or international equivalent in any subject.

The course is also particularly appropriate for graduates who have not previously studied a business-related subject. We will also consider your application if you do not have a degree but do have substantial management experience.

Overseas applicants will require IELTS with an overall score of 6.5 with no less than 5.5 in any category, or an equivalent accepted English qualification.

All of the books required for the course are available from the library. The University also has PC labs and a laptop loan service. However, many students choose to buy some of the core textbooks for the course and/or a laptop. Students may also need to print their assignments and other documents. Campus printing costs start from 5p per page. Estimated costs are £300 for a laptop up to £100 each year for books and printing.
