International Banking and Finance

This programme is aimed at candidates who wish to acquire a solid foundation in international banking and finance which will equip them for careers in banking, trading or financial analysis. This course is a Chartered Banker Accredited Programme, the Chartered Banker is the only professional banking institute in the UK. They are an educational charity established by Royal Charter.

Entry requirements

Applicants must attain a 2:2 (or overseas equivalent) in an undergraduate degree that has included a range of modules in accounting/finance or quantitative/statistical methods. This need not necessarily be a degree with accounting or finance in the title. English language requirement IELTS 6.0 (minimum of 5.5 in each component) or Swansea University recognised equivalent.

Modules typically include: Independent Project; Corporate Finance; Financial Econometrics; International Financial Markets and Institutions; Financial Reporting and Statement Analysis; International Financial Crises and Bank Regulation; Risk Management in Banking; International Banking and Regulation.
