Biochemical Engineering with Industrial Management

This course blends biochemical engineering with business management to prepare you for a career in biopharmaceuticals or industrial biotechnology. We also cover:

The bioscience industries have a huge role to play in the search for sustainable energy, food production and medicine. They need managers who understand the science, the technology and the business. Our MSc is designed to produce graduates who are up to the challenge.

Entry requirements

MSc (Eng): A good Honours degree in science, technology and engineering. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 with at least 5.5 in each component.

Course modules

Core modules: bio-systems engineering and computational biology; engineering research in industry; technology strategy and business planning; biopharmaceutical bioprocessing; innovation management; professional responsibility; marketing management; research project. Optional modules: principles of biochemical engineering; principles of biomolecular science.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include: exams; coursework; dissertation.
