Education (Leadership and Management)

On this pathway students will: improve understanding of leadership practices in national and international social, cultural, political and policy contexts; strengthen knowledge of leadership and change management; explore existing and emerging international research-informed knowledge of educational leadership; enable a deeper critical understanding of the organisation, and the environment in which course members operate; critically analyse and evaluate their own and others' leadership practice

Entry requirements

Applicants will usually need to have either a good undergraduate degree (2.2 or above) or an equivalent level 6 qualification (equivalent overseas qualifications which will be verified by NARIC) and be currently working within the education arena or hold a level 5 teaching qualification plus evidence of 5 years' teaching experience and be currently working within the education arena. Applicants should also hold GCSE grade C or equivalent in English. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: masterly academic practices; evidence based practice; independent study; quality, leadership and management; developing leadership capacity.
