Law, Banking and Finance (LLM)
This course enables graduates in law, or with a legal background, to develop specialised legal expertise relevant to the banking and financial services sector; to acquire a detailed foundation in accounting and business methods; and to gain a detailed understanding of international banking and global financial markets from an economic perspective.
LLM: Applicants must have, or expect to receive in the anticipated year of entry, a good Honours degree in law, of at least Upper 2nd Class or equivalent. Exceptionally, non-law graduates with relevant legal experience may be considered. IELTS overall of 6.5 (or equivalent) if 1st language is not English.
Foundation banking, finance and statistics for business; international banking; global financial markets; financial management of banks; emerging financial markets and investment; international business finance.
A mixture of assessment methods will be used, including exams, course work, presentations and dissertations.
