International Business

This programme provides you an insight into business network analysis that helps you employ network applications to understand strategic alliances, global commodity chains, and customer relationship management. You will develop a range of intellectual and practical skills to become a specialist in the global knowledge economy. If you do not have a first degree in business then this Master's will give you a grounding in business management, also offering you specialised international business modules and an independent specialist project. Our courses take into account the increasingly multidisciplinary and international nature of modern market developments. You will gain integrated theoretical knowledge and applied skills that employers are looking for. You will learn to distinguish and apply the most relevant research methodologies, techniques and tools. You will also build the interpersonal skills that will enable you to interact effectively and implement solutions efficiently.

Entry requirements

MA: You should have a relevant undergraduate degree at 2.2 or above, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised university or higher education institute. If you were educated in a language other than English and/or in a country where English speakers are in a minority, you should have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill) or equivalent. If you require a Tier 4 (General) student visa to study in the UK, your score must be from a UK Visas and Immigration approved IELTS test.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: Financial and management accounting; e-logistics and international supply chain management; global strategy: analysis and practice; pathway specialisation project; global business and sustainability; global networks and innovation; foundations of scholarship and research; business English for academic purposes; managing and leading people across cultural borders; international marketing.

Assessment methods

You will be assessed through a wide range of methods and procedures such as individual and group presentations, tests, reports and assignments, individual online journals, article reviews, examinations and a project.
