Business Administration

This programme aims to develop the business leaders of the future. It approaches responsible leadership thematically from the starting points of creativity, practicality and social resourcefulness, and focuses strongly on the personal development of participants, including their career management. It focuses on the integrative disciplines of business strategy and the management of change, leading to a real-world consultancy project and an individual business research project.

Entry requirements

You should have an undergraduate degree at 2.2 or above, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised university or higher education institute. You should also have a minimum of two years' relevant work experience. Applicants without an undergraduate degree who have a minimum of five years' relevant business experience may apply subject to interview. If you were educated in a language other than English and/or in a country where English speakers are in a minority, you should have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill) or equivalent. If you require a Tier 4 (General) student visa to study in the UK, your score must be from a UK Visas and Immigration approved IELTS test.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: Business context and international business environment; strategy and transformation; managing the value chain; leadership, personal development and career management; integrative strategic workshops and simulations; business research project; two years accredited work experience; business English for academic purposes; financial management; human resource and information management; foundations of scholarship and research methods; business analysis.

Assessment methods

Students are assessed through: Coursework; presentations; assignments; reflective reports; portfolios.
