Legal Practice (Conflict Resolution)

Each of our LLM programmes offer an internationally recognised Master’s award. This course will provide you with valuable insight into how the English legal system operates, with an emphasis on your chosen specialist legal area of Conflict Resolution (which involves disputes between businesses)

You’ll be taught by qualified legal experts in workshop style, with high levels of contact time. This qualification will equip you with the practical skills to assist you in gaining employment within your specialist area in a legal or commercial capacity. If you are already working in these fields, our LLMs will enhance your CV and help you take on a more senior role.

This programme has been designed for non-law graduates, however we understand it may still appeal to those with an academic grounding in English law who are looking to enhance their skills or specialise in the relevant areas. In that case we welcome your application but would encourage you to contact our admissions team to discuss your options and the likelihood of repeat study. We offer an online version of the same LLMs designed for English law graduates.

The course is delivered through full time attendance at our London Moorgate campus or Webster Vienna Private University (Conflict Resolution option only) over one year, divided into three terms. There is a compulsory induction at the beginning of the course which will be held at our London Moorgate campus or Webster Vienna Private University.

Entry requirements

To be eligible to take up your place on our LLMs, you must comply with the following requirements:

  • Students should possess a UK bachelor’s degree in any subject at 2:2 or above or equivalent qualifications.
  • While we accept applications from English law graduates, you are likely to repeat many themes from your undergraduate degree. We recommend that you consider the online version of this course in the first place which has been designed for those with a qualification in law. Graduates from The University of Law’s LLB programmes are not eligible for this course.
  • Overseas graduates, in addition to the above, we also require an English language qualification at a level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component.
