International Business

The course provides an understanding of current theories and practices in the private, public, large business and small business sectors around the world and opportunities to learn and practise a range of intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills relevant to international business and management. The course covers analytical techniques including critical thinking, information technology (IT) skills, including use of financial and statistical software and effective written and spoken communication skills.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree in any discipline, or equivalent; relevant professional experience is considered; applicants whose 1st language is not English require an acceptable English language qualification such as IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each band).

Course modules

Core modules: Applied business research methods; introduction to international business; global corporate strategy; managing finance; strategic business analysis; dissertation; optional modules: business in Asia pacific region; the emerging economies and international business; government and business; the advanced economies and international business; globalization, global-governance and the global economy.
